Hotels Practically Giving Away Their Rooms

Have you done any traveling lately? Notice the ridiculously high prices of some motels and hotels? In one of the small towns that we recently lived in, the hotels charged the most outrageous prices. There was nothing so great about the place other than it was Andy Griffith’s home town. Big deal. So when I say that you can get a hotel room for $149 for three days and two nights and in Las Vegas of all places, does that make your jaw drop? It comes from Westgate who can get you into the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Of course some great discounts come with any reservation and who knows, a freebie or two thrown in. The way things are right now, these businesses are just about giving their space away. Ordinarily you would not get this great of a deal anywhere. Las Vegas has so much to do that you definitely should do some investigating and set up an itinerary so that you don’t miss any of the great events you want to see. I’m all for a vacation there. In fact, I want to go.

Time to stick in some new faucets at your place? Consider the Grohe faucets, but especially the high-end ones. These particular faucets are not your everyday faucets, but can be actually programmed to keep your shower settings just how you like them to be. Are there two or more of you using the same shower? These can remember the settings for more than one person so that you are not constantly having to readjust the heat or other settings when it’s time for your shower. But, like I said, these aren’t for just anybody, they cost a little more. It just depends on whether or not this is one of those things that mean a lot to you.

Take a good look at this sexy lingerie. It looks good on these models doesn’t it? The top has no breast cover and the name of this top is not something that I can put in this blog. Likewise for the pants. But if you love this kind of thing then here’s where you should go. Wicked Temptations. This store has it all, whatever you can think of and then some. It isn’t just the sexy lingerie but loads of toys and even contests for customers. You can meet their models if you’d like too. And if you just love this kind of thing, then go and visit here. This link will show you one of the most provacative undies for men that I’ve ever seen. Swingers and sexually oriented people, this is the place for you. But as for me, I’m no longer one of those who go ooh and ahh.

Being Just Me

I am one of those who smoke cigarettes. Having smoked two packs per day for years but have gotten down to just one-half pack per day (yay me). Only lately with the bipolar being out of control, that has gone up to one pack a day. And since I do not smoke in my home since we moved, that means I have to go outside on our little patio to smoke, and some times it is really cold out there. Then I feel like all I ever do is run outside to have a cigarette, at least that is how it seems. But at night when I am out there smoking all alone, it’s past the time when most everyone else is in their bed, and all is peaceful except for the noise of the traffic from the Interstate just to the right of us. But mostly that noise is not really noticed anymore. So I am standing out there feeling the quiet and the stillness, devoid for the most part of any activity. It’s then that I feel like I am all alone but yet do not feel lonely at all. I like the quiet, the stillness, the lack of motion. It is at those times that I actually have time to just “be”. Be me; not the wife, not the Mother or the Grandmother, not the employee, the sister or anything else. Just me.

Barking Dogs

We have two small dogs, one full-blooded dachshund and the other is half-dachshund. The half-blooded one is a good barker. She barks at every little noise that goes on. Somebody walks by our apartment or goes up the stairs, she barks. Any knocking noise, she barks. I hear her barking after I lock my car and start walking to my apartment. The other one was never much of a barker, but now she has him going at every little noise that comes our way. The funny thing is that when there are very loud noises coming from overhead she doesn’t bark at all! I wish I knew a way to stop all of her barking besides having her vocal cords removed ;) Any suggestions?

I am so ticked off that I could spit, or if I were the nail-biting type I’d be sitting here biting my fingernails. One of our local stores is having a sale with many things 70% off. I texted my daughter to meet me there so she could pick out some clothes for the kids. She went hog-wild and picked up $200 of clothing. She picked three shirts for herself and two pair of jeans. The jeans were not 70% off so I refused to buy them. She starts bitching at me about those and I said do you want me to give these clothes back? I don’t care she says. I told her she had better stop being a wise-ass and shut up. Then she had the nerve to ask me to help her carry the bags out to her car when I was parked in the back and she in the front. I flat refused. And I don’t think I’ll be offering to buy anything else either. I want my Grandchildren to have clothes but not when it is not appreciated. Think I got so much as one lousy thank you? No!

Spoil Yourself with Some New Glasses

Zenni Optical has many Holiday frames to choose from and with their prices you don’t need to stop at one pair or even two pairs. This is a picture of a pair that I particularly like, but only because they didn’t have the oval gold (as far as I could tell). The ones I’m showing you here are about $23.95 but there are so many different frame shapes, colors and material that they are made from that you would not believe it. You can find frames cheaper than this or higher than this, and they come standard lens as well but you can add on all of the things that you’ve always wanted but could never afford. The thing here is to understand that your prescription and what you want must be exactly right at the time you order it, because since glasses are made specifically for someone, they would not be something that could be put back on the shelf for resale. There is acetate, stainless steel, titanium, aluminum alloy. The holiday frames come in all sizes, shapes and colors so that you can actually have a different pair to wear each week, and seriously these are inexpensive enough that you could almost afford to buy a new pair for each day of the month! Well, at least each day of the week! In my opinion it is past time for glasses wearers to be given this opportunity.

Contending with a Handicapped Child

I’m sure that I’ve mentioned that I have a Granddaughter who has Angelman’s Syndrome. This syndrome is a nasty one. It takes away communication from the child afflicted with it. Some children don’t even walk and the majority of those with this condition can never live on their own. They are mentally retarded. When I was little, a person who had this was something that scared me. They drooled and made funny sounds, and often couldn’t walk right. Now of course I know that these things are beyond their control and if they had a choice, having this wouldn’t be what they chose. I’ve seen people with very odd conditions on television shows, which makes you sit there and think that you were so lucky to have children who didn’t have any mental or physical problems. I’ve seen some whose bones are melding together and petrifying them, leaving them unable to move any part of their body. Others have gigantic body parts and that can’t be fixed either. It is so very sad and anyone who makes fun of these unfortunate people needs to be aware that it could happen to them too.
The hardest part for me as a Grandparent of a handicapped child, is figuring out ways to say things without having it be taken the wrong way, although you may mean it in the best way, it can come out sounding really stupid or condescending. My Granddaughter goes to therapy almost every day of the week and her Mother ends up taking her, and she works full time. This means a lot of really early and late days for her. The two of them have had no alone time since the child was born. Understandable. But she just mentioned that somebody said how happy the child is and for some reason she felt that they were belittling all of their hard work with her. This is not a complaint against my daughter-in-law at all. I’m saying that is how she read the statement. I feel for every one of you Moms and Dads who are totally responsible for a child needing 24/7 care. You are all heroes in my book.

Want to save some money on new luggage? Can you afford to buy some without it being on sale, especially after Christmas?? I sure couldn’t, since I spent most of our spare money on gifts. Do you like Kenneth Cole or Samsonite? Luggage Source dot com has a great deal of their luggage on sale for 60% off. They have around 30 different makes of luggage there so you don’t have to worry about not seeing your favorite there.

Are You Good at Convincing?

If sales is your bag and you need to do a sales job search, Salesjobs dot net can help you find out about daily sales job postings that you may be interested in. I’ve been in sales before and I can honestly say this is not the kind of job that I could do for any length of time. My sales job was at a car sales business and although I had no trouble greeting the public, I knew it wasn’t going to last. I think you need to be good at convincing people in order to get them to buy your product. It’s the same in a lot of sales jobs. If you’re good at that kind of thing you really ought to drop by this site to see what kind of help they can offer finding you a sales job.
