Trying to stay awake so I blog...

Written by **"Liza"** on Monday, November 24, 2008

Just me here working again tonight. So far, it has been a quite night. I am dying to close my eyes and get some rest but I cant do that here at work lol. Therefore, to keep me from falling asleep I decided that it might be a good thing to update this bloggie of mine. I plan to blog last night but I watch the movie Kung Fu Panda with my boys "which I promise them that afternoon". We were supposed to watch Wall-E but there are no available DVD for rent that night so we end up settling with the Kung Fu Panda. It was a fun movie though; the boys really enjoy it a lot. After the movie, I got tired, decided to hit the bed instead, and went to sleep.
Anyway, this week has been quite busy for me. I have been helping my husband with the house that we are trying to fix and sell. We were working on it last Sunday with my boys. This one noisy kids of our neighbor came to me asking what we are doing at the house. She also ask if she can get inside the house to see what we are doing. Just to be nice I allowed her to come in and watch. But I didn't not expect that she will bring a gang of her cousin and siblings lol. I don't really mind them coming in the house but I don want them to get hurt inside because al of the nails and other dangerous things that are laying at the floor. After they got out of the house my son Andrew was bugging me to play with him. I told him to go out instead and play with the neighbor kids. I never thought that he was shy to ask them until my son Adam told me. So I went outside and ask the kids if Andrew and Adam can play with them. Good thing these kids are very friendly and even let him play with their scooter and skateboards. I was pretty amaze to see how much Andrew love the skateboard "so do Adam" and even ask me if I can get him one. My husband and I were thinking weather to get him one or not. I think he’s not big enough for it, not to mention that it is one dangerous toy to play with. Maybe we will have to wait until he is big enough for it; I might buy him a new bike instead. At least it is a little bit safer compare to a skateboard. I took some photos while they were playing by the way while they are playing. I just love seeing him holding the skateboard; I think he really looks cool with it. What do you think?...

Still Alive and kicking here..

I finally decided to start tapping my key board today and make a new post here at my almost forgotten blog. After someone took my domain name at this blog I just lost my interest in blogging. Plus I keep having problem setting the new domain at this blog which is very frustrating thing to do. I even think of deleting this blog but since I still have friends and relatives who come here and visit. I decide that it might be worth keeping this up and running. The changes that my blog will have is, you will notice that I wont be posting any kind of advertising post anymore and I will only post once or twice a week. I think it's also a good thing that I did not blog for few months because I was able to concentrate on the things that I have to do with my life. That is to get something going on with my life and not just sit here at the house and blogging.
Anywaysss, Whats up with me in the past months that I was not blogging? Nothing much really ! Well, except that I am one older as well as Adam and my husband Kip prior to my last post. The only big thing that change is that I am working now at one of the hospital here. So far I'm loving the job, not to mention the good steady flow of income. Also I have so many great people that I work with and meet new people to talk with everyday "other than my boys to whom I only talk with before lol." It may be a bit weird but I always look forward to go to work everyday and never get tired of the things that I do at work. I also love my schedule to because I only work three nights which gives me a lot of time to spend my 4 days off with my family. Well, that all happened to me the past few months.. Not so a lot things to miss about me here.. So how about you peeps what up with you?

Lets MOVE and walk for the cure of Alzheimer

Written by **"Liza"** on Monday, August 04, 2008

When I was taking my CNA class I had this opportunity to learn so many kinds of medical condition that inflict some individual as the age. One of these diseases that are so common in adult is a type of dementia called Alzheimer. This reminds me of the very first patient my mother took care of when we first move here in U.S. The first day I met him we was very sweet to me and talk a lot about his past. The next day I saw him; he is on the state of confusion and was not talking at all. He did not even remember who my mother was. One time he almost slap my face when I simply told him that he cannot walk out of the backyard because he might go the street hit by a car when we were at the back yard one day. The thing about Alzheimer’s disease it can cause an adult “like my mother patient” individual to suffer from memory lost, that can also affect their behavior and ability to care for themselves. Each individual who is suffering from Alzheimer has unique symptoms as the disease progress. Symptoms like anger, confusing, mood swing, language breakdown and even death can occur. I can imagine how hard that would be to the family of the person who is suffering from this disease. It is very important that we as a healthy individual must have the knowledge about the disease and learn the proper way of caring and interacting with person who is suffering from Alzheimer. It is sad to know that until now there is no cure for this very common disease. However, we have a power to help families or friends to spread the awareness of Alzheimer disease by joining in the Alzheimer's Memory Walk. This not only raises awareness of the disease but will also raise the funds for the research support and care for Alzheimer. You can check their home site to know more information about the move. I am also placing a ribbon located at my blog sidebar to show my support. Therefore, I also am calling all of you to volunteer and join in the MOVE to end Alzheimer disease.
