Stop writing 2008 for goodness sakes!

I did.

At the commissary in the checkout line. I am sure I am not the only one who has done it in the early days of January. Hell, its only Jan 7 so its going to take me til at least March until I realize that it is actually 2009.

I am hoping this year will be a better year than last year but I think thats what everyone says when the ball goes down in Times Square each New Year. I really love my friend Ashley's saying because it always brings back the old Patty Loveless song, "How can I help you to say goodbye". Her favorite saying is: "Life's about changing, nothing ever stays the same". Its one of the most depressing quotes but its so true. Sometimes I hate change because all you have left sometimes are just memories of past years. Times with my grandma were so taken advantage of and now that she is gone, each Christmas brings back those memories of the times I should have spent with her when I lived with her my senior year of high school. You never know when things happen until they do and thats where the dreaded "change" comes in.

I hope that I can spend more time with people who I love and not take advantage of those times doing meaningless things that have no importance in my life.

I also would like to get more in touch with God. He has been a big influence on my happiness and He has been there when I needed to vent and felt I had noone to talk to. I have been making more time for Him which was well needed.

I hope you all have a fabulous new year and continue to be my favorite readers, you are the greatest! :)

Baby, its cold outside!

I apologize to my stalkers that I have not posted in awhile. I have been in a mood lately due to cabin fever. Its pretty bad lately since the "warmest" it has been here in Alaska is -5 degrees. I am so counting down the days until I can get down south again and warm my tushie!

I want to say "thanks" to Jami for letting me know she got her tasty prize from me! I hope you and the family enjoyed it and I hope you noticed I placed my card nonchalantly in the mocha top! hehe. Don't be shy if you want more tasty goodies!

Which reminds me...

Keep checking in around the next couple months because I plan on having another contest soon. It may either be Tastefully Simple or Avon...hey, I need more customers ya know!

Oh yes, I also signed up for the 50 million pound challenge. I was so sick of being one of the many stereotypes of fat military wives(we are, as Monique says, Fabulous and Thick) so I made a group just for us. If you want to join here is the link:

I would love to lose the weight I put on after giving birth to my babies. Any mom knows how difficult that can be sometimes.

I hope everyone has a great new year and I hope you all achieve your resolutions!

Entrecard top droppers

So I was curious to see how my stats are doing since using Entrecard and it is pretty good. I'm not very high with Alexa but hopefully I can be somewhat popular in the future. Here are my top droppers according to Entrecard:

Dropper # of drops
Windmill on the Hill 29
C'est La Vie 21
HouseholdSix 20
Autumnal Confessions & SexyAdvice 19
Random Chronicles 13
Mariuca's Perfume Gallery 13
Day Break 13
Wishing On A Falling Star 11
Digital Products Review 11
Social Media Helper 9

Thanks everyone for being so great and helping me become more popular! If you don't have Entrecard you should!

What a great way to build a clientel!

I was invited by a company called Well-WorX Enterprise to set up a booth for Tastefully Simple! I was so stoked to do it that I talked to the hubby since it is on a weekday and I'd need him to watch the kids. With the army being pretty flexible he said it should not be a problem. I called the office and they said that I have a 99% chance of being one of the reps! I faxed in the information they needed so I am hoping that I will get a call back letting me know I got it. Wish me luck!

Oh yeah, and I received another award!

Noah's Mommy over at Project Mommyhood gave me this:

Thank you so much for the awesome award! :)

Mustard?

No Moosetard! I discovered this yummy food when my family and I went to the Christmas Village in downtown Anchorage. I couldn't help but buy a couple of jars of this wonderful stuff! The 2 that hubby and I chose were:

Old 55 Pale Ale with Roasted Garlic

and

Nanook Blue (which has blueberry in it...I know it sounds weird but it is good!)

I just baked some chicken with the Old 55 Pale Ale moosetard and I couldn't believe how yummy it was! I can't wait to use this stuff on pork roast too!

I promise you won't be disappointed!

Thursday's Workshop(although it is Sunday)

So forgive me Momma Kat because Domestic Goddess forgot to post the workshop..I usually am not so scatterbrained but I still blame it on the two kids and my broke husband(who has upgraded his hand brace to a full arm cast)

So here is the weekly assignment.

I decided to pick:

3.) Describe a "new road" you've taken in your life.

I chose this because my life has changed a lot in the past few months. I thought living here in Alaska was going to be the worst experience in my life. (Okay, I tend to be a bit overdramatic) I decided that after a few failed friendships I was never going to go out and make any new friends because I was getting crapped on and things weren't going well for me at all (read: boo-hoo little ol me)

I decided that feeling sorry for myself was not going to make my life better and no one was going to come to the pity party, not even my own husband. So after everything that happened I decided to go to PWOC so I can be around positive women who will be there for me if I needed someone to talk to. I had met Angie when I first went to church and she started picking me up and we would go to PWOC together. Her mentoring has been such a drastic change in my life that my worrying about what other people thought of me just washed away. I don't plot revenge against the people that wronged me anymore. I pray and converse with God about what to do when people had wronged me and what to do instead of thinking about doing things that will do more harm than good in my life. God has been such an amazing part of my life nowadays that I am mad at myself for not turning to Him sooner. I think it would have saved me a lot of heartache thats for sure.

Now, I can't say I have changed overnight. I think it will take awhile for me to become a better person physically and mentally. I know through God and having positive women in my life I will keep going down my "new road" and be a better friend, mom, wife, daughter, sister than I ever imagined. I pray that my friends will begin to see the new me and accept it. I also pray that I continue to find friends that will be a positive influence in my life throughout my journeys as an army wife.

As I close this I want to say thank you to my readers and my friends who have stood by me when I was at my lowest. It takes a great friend to have that much patience in someone like me thats for sure!

What not to eat while taking Alli...

Dominoes Pizza.

Alli woke me up at 4 a.m. this morning by giving me stomach pains. I should know better by now after all the treatment effects I had because of not watching what I ate. If you ever want to consider trying Alli you HAVE to watch your fat intake...your anus will thank you.

Today.

I went to PWOC today like every Tuesday (PWOC is women's bible study) and today we discussed sex and the female orgasm. It reminded me of an old post I made back in May. I learned that it is necessary for us females to have an orgasm regularly (yeah, okay, that will happen) but its not the main goal of a sexual union. It got me to think about things like that and instead of stressing about "getting there" I should just lay back and relax and enjoy my husband. I think that it will be better for both of us for me to do just that so the next romp session I will think about this discussion today and see how it goes.
